Maybe many of you are like my mother, who still talks about how one of her brothers passed away on board during the time they left the war zone.  Perhaps you are like my father, who often speaks about how invaders’ kid pointed at him with a Kar98k rifle, when he was ten, which is more than 65 years ago.

Time to time, I wish I could trade their memory space for some new empty memory storage, so they could remember some functions for iPad.  However, I must admit those are events that make who my parents are, and things that matter so much to them.

Truth is, as I often tell my parents, whether to like it or not, welcome to the 21st century, and congratulate that you make it.

Every century has its basic amenities for a standard life, and so does the 21st century.  Truth is those objects might not appear as important as a horse in the 19th or a car in the 20th; nevertheless, those are some basic items needed in this 21st century life.

For someone who only wants to cover the basic, he/she should have:

1. A cell phone of your own.
2. A place to get on the internet, at least
    once a week.
3. An email address.
4. A Facebook account, or Google +.

For advanced users who would like to fully enjoy the wonderful life of the 21st century, they might want to add two more things:

5. A device to get on the internet on your
    own. Preferable, a tablet.
6. Wifi connection, if not at home, at least
find a coffee shop or a library where
    you can get on Wifi.
