Today, We need a browser with some basic protection.
There are a couple of good options.
Firefox, Chrome, and Opera browser.

For normal users, there is not much difference among them. However, if you have a gmail account , Chrome will be a better choice.
Also, if you are using XP, Chrome is a safer choice since all your bookmarks will be saved in your google account. Even if XP may pass on anytime, you will have nothing to worry about.
